Characteristics of bacteriophages for Micromonospora purpurea.
Chemical and physical stabilities of bacteriophages øUW 21 and øUW 51 infecting Micromonospora purpurea ATCC 15835 were examined. Both phages were stable over the pH range of 5 to 8 and to heating at temperatures up to 50 degrees C and especially stable in buffer containing magnesium ion. Exposure to 1 M Ca(NO3)2 inactivated both phages, and phage øUW 51 was also susceptible to 1 M CaCl2, 0.1 M...
متن کاملMorphological characteristics of colony development in Micromonospora chalcea.
Colonies of Micromonospora chalcea display two types of mycelia. Vegetative mycelia are nonbranched, have a propensity for parallel disposition, and possess infrequent septa. The reproductive mycelia develop on their apical portion and are characterized by branching, frequent septation, and bearing of spores that are either sessile or at the end of small sporophores.
متن کاملSelective isolation and rapid identification of members of the genus Micromonospora.
Improved methods for selective isolation of diverse actinomycetes of the genus Micromonospora and a genus-specific nested PCR for rapid identification of putative Micromonospora isolates were developed. The robustness of both the isolation and the identification approach was underpinned by phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences.
متن کاملMicrobiological Characteristics of Wild Edible Mushrooms and Effect of Temperature during Storage of Morchella conica
Background: The continuous worldwide increase of consumption of fresh mushrooms has registered in the recent years. The major goal of this study was to determine the microbiological characteristics of wild edible mushrooms and effect of temperature during storage of Morchella conica. Methods: Wild mushrooms of the species Boletus edulis, Cantharellus cibarius, and Leccinum aurantiacum were col...
متن کاملCombined Effects of Inoculation Level and Sequence on Biochemical and Microbiological Characteristics of Probiotic Doogh
The combined effects of inoculation level (4 or 8-fold compared to standard inoculation) and sequence (standard inoculation before fermentation and 3-fold inoculation at the end of fermentation=1+3, Two-fold inoculation before fermentation and the same at the end of fermentation=2+2, 2+6, 4-fold before fermentation=4, 4+4, and 8) of culture inoculum containing probiotics on biochemical and micr...
